I build an electric longboard with a power tool batteries
During the summer of 2022 I decided to build an electric skateboard for myself using a standard longboard and the novelty of using to Milwaukee M18 Lithium ion batteries commonly used in power tools. I also manufactured a double axle for the front truck, as the original smaller wheels got stuck when driving over storm drains. This longboard was able to reach speeds of 55 km/h.
For this project I made use of:
• Pintail Longboard
• Flipsky 6374 E-Board motor
• 15 Tooth 10mm D-Shape pulley
• 2x Milwaukee M18 Red Lithium XC5.0 Power Tool batteries
• Flipsky FSESC4.20 50A Speed Controller
• Flipsky VX2 Pro remote
• 36 Tooth ABEC wheel pulley
• 285mm Belt
• 7.5mm Aluminium sheet
• Battery Level indicator
• Power button with fuse
• Thin Aluminium sheet
• M4 & M5 Nuts and Bolts
• XC60 Connectors
• Wires
The machinery I used:
• Waterjet
• TIG Welder
• Milling machine
• 3D Printer
• Soldering Iron
